LL6(7) chondrite : Dar al Gani 599

The classification of this meteorite as LL7 is one that is somewhat controversial at the moment. Continued discussion with the editor of the meteoritical bulletin about LL7 classification in general makes us believe that we will have to reclassify this particular meteorite as LL6 - at least for the time being. However, this remains still the most recrystallised type 6 meteorite we have ever seen. We intend to attempt to use this meteorite to gain further information of the definition of type 7 meteorites.

Science needs good documentation.

All the meteorites discovered during our expeditions have been documented in great detail, with photos of the principal mass, analysis results, and images of cuttings showing their internal structure. All this information is stored on CD-ROM.
